After being in theaters for six days, Shaitaan has achieved a major milestone, that of crossing Rs. 75 crore mark at the box office. The film opened quite well with Rs. 15.21 crore in the partial holiday of Maha Shivratri and has remained quite stable since then. While on Monday it also held well at Rs. 7.81 crore, the collections barely fell until Wednesday, when Rs. 6.27 crores came in.

The film has held up quite well despite the presence of Ramzan and today would also hold up well with at least Rs. 5.75 crores at stake. For a film like this that is based on black magic, the only factor that could generate such huge numbers was a notable star cast, and the presence of Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan has made this happen. Otherwise, these films are usually low-cost with an unknown or not-so-notable star cast and the best case scenario is reaching Rs. 50 crores for life.

Actually, that number was surpassed during the opening weekend and now the film has reached Rs. 75.78 crores. Today it will cross Rs. 80 crore mark and then over the weekend it will enter Rs. 100 Crore Club. The film will easily cross Rs. 125 crores during his lifetime and it would be the journey from there to Rs. 140 crore, which would be watched closely.

Note: All collections according to production and distribution sources.
