Meghan Markle joins a Suits The reunion has always been considered a remote possibility.

Unless it isn't?

A meeting of the Suit The stars have been highly sought after since the show blew up with new fans re-watching it on Netflix.

While the gang recently reunited for a viral moment at the Golden Globes, talk of a spinoff is the biggest topic for die-hard fans.

Well, there's a story doing the rounds right now that might excite all those who miss paralegal Rachel Zane.

'Suits' reunion reboot in the works: Will Meghan return?

Given the show's second success, a spin-off is being discussed and in the works.

In one of his recent Puck newsletters, journalist Matthew Belloni revealed new details about the show.

A character named Erica is mentioned in the memo. The team's producers are looking for someone who fits the description: “30 years old, black, Southern California native and Harvard Law student. She is vying to be named Head of Entertainment. She's great at closing clients, but struggles in other ways. She smarter than everyone.”

Sounds familiar?

Almost immediately, fans began to consider whether NBCUniversal wasn't crafting a role to hand to Meghan on a silver platter.

There's no word yet from Meghan on whether she's interested, but it seems like one could hope if they wanted to.

Original stars returning for 'Suits' spinoff

Elsewhere, other original stars have the spinoff on their radar. Patrick Adams said the same thing about the Suits spin-off on the Globes red carpet.

“We found out… well, it's not a revival, but a spin-off of 'Suits.' I think everything is in the early stages. But what did they say? It's a show in the 'Suits' universe. Like a 'Suits LA'.” Adams shared.

He added: “If I got the phone call, I'm ready to put the suit back on. I love the show, I love the character. And I loved working with all these people.”

Sure I would, but what about Meghan? Would she be that interested in joining?

When asked about Meghan's return, Adams admitted she had high hopes. “Sure. Mike and Rachel in Seattle. They have to come to Los Angeles and fix some things,” she said of her and Markle's character.

“She's pretty popular right now,” he added of her. “Have you heard of Meghan? I’ll tell you later,” she joked.

'Suits' stars reunite at Golden Globes without Meghan Markle

As the show enjoys a revival on Netflix, Suits Stars Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Golden Globes.

The quartet presented the award for Best Television Series – Drama, which went to Succession.

Given her notoriety, it was evident that Meghan was not there. In her absence, her former co-stars had to explain their, well, absence from her.

It turns out that even if they wanted to invite Meghan to the big night, they had no way to do so.

“We don't have her number,” Torres said of Meghan, in a interview on the Globes red carpet.

Yes, there is apparently a group chat between the other cast members that Meghan hasn't been a part of, so she couldn't be told a reunion was happening. Still, Torres quickly added that he thought the royals would be cheering them on.

“She will see, she will observe,” he added. “She'll be happy we're here.”

Meghan Markle wasn't invited to the Golden Globes?

However, strictly speaking, the invitation to attend should have come from the show's producers. Apparently it wasn't like that.

“Harry and Meghan were not invited to last night's Golden Globe Awards.” aware royal commentator Angela Levin on x the night of the ceremony.

“They can get away from it by insisting they were busy. But it is much harder to escape the effect of heavy teasing, especially from Meghan,” she added.

Since Harry and Meghan weren't in the room, it left things open for some to mock them. Jo Koy made a cringe-worthy joke at her expense in her monologue.

“Harry and Meghan Markle were paid millions for doing absolutely nothing, and that's just from Netflix,” he said.
