Kapil Sharma regrets missing chance to collaborate with AR Rahman on Amar Singh Chamkila: 'I felt very bad, I cried all night' | Hindi Movie News


The last episode of Kapil's big Indian show presented Diljit DosanjhParineeti Chopra and the filmmaker Imtiaz Ali who were seen promoting their latest movie Amar Singh Chamkila. Recently, Kapil Sharma shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from the show, revealing a missed opportunity that left him with regret.
In the BTS clip, kapil revealed that he had missed a call from none other than AR Rahman, who composed the music for Amar Singh Chamkila, as he was abroad at the time.
Recalling the incident, Kapil narrated, “One day I met Rahman sir and he said, 'I called him for Chamkila'. I think he wanted me to sing a song or something. I thought he was just talking sweetly to me.” Imtiaz Ali, also present during the conversation, confirmed Rahman's appreciation for Kapil's singing skills.

Expressing his regret, Kapil humorously shared, “He told me this in a serious manner. I told him, 'Sir, we were abroad and that's why we couldn't talk to each other.'” The comedian regretted having missed the opportunity to speak. He collaborated with AR Rahman and jokingly commented, “I felt very bad, I cried all night. It was unfortunate.”
Imtiaz Ali added a humorous touch, mentioning that Rahman had jokingly indicated Kapil as the back-up option if Diljit Dosanjh couldn't be a part of the film.

Kapil Sharma has proven his acting skills in films like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Firangi, Zwigato and the recent Crew starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon in the lead.
