Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to condemn a dog cruelty incident that occurred in thane city. In case you missed it, a video that circulated on social media last week showed two staff members of a veterinary clinic brutally beating a chow-chow dog in Thane.
The incident was captured by a CCTV camera placed inside Vetic Pet Clinic on Ghodbunder Road in Manpada, Thane. After the distressing video was circulated, netizens called for strict action against the accused.
Now, the 'Raazi' actress shared the news again on her Instagram story and wrote, “This is very disheartening.”

Police reportedly registered a non-cognizable offense against the duo, 19-year-old Mayur Michael Jadhav and Prashant Gaikwad, under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
However, netizens insisted on a harsher punishment. Both employees were arrested on Wednesday (February 14). However, the post Alia shared suggested that both the culprits managed to escape.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia is gearing up for the launch of her web series 'Poacher'. It stars Roshan Mathews, Nimisha Sajayan and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. The series is helmed by director Richie Mehta.
