IFFI winning web series, TVF Panchayat turns 4 years old


New Delhi: Panchayat has been one of the most popular web series in India and very recently won the IFFI Award for India's Best Inaugural Web Series. The IFFI Awards are the highest honor for any web content in India and are equivalent to national awards for a film.

TVF is one of the leading content creators today. Since its evolution in 2010 till now, TVF has provided a variety of engaging, engaging and relatable content to the audiences and among all, Panchayat Season 1 and 2 are different. The globally loved show, aired on April 3, 2020, marked four years since its launch today.

The program has found wide acceptance by audiences of all ages. It chronicles the life of an engineering graduate, played by Jitendra Kumar, who joins as Panchayat Secretary in a remote fictional village of Phulera in Uttar Pradesh due to lack of better job options. The show is filmed in real-life locations and from the characters to the stories, Panchayat has established its legacy among the audiences.

Panchayat was not only loved by the masses but is also famous in the entire meme world, with its famous memes like 'Dekh Raha Hai Binod', 'Gajab Bejaati Hai Yaar', etc. The show also earned its presence at number 88 on IMDb's Global List of Top 250 TV Shows.

The huge love of the audience for the show lies in the fact that it became the first OTT show to create a sensation at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa as it won the inaugural OTT Award. The prestigious awards hold great importance in themselves as they are equivalent to the National Awards given to films. Apart from this, Panchayat was also nominated for Best Original Story, Screenplay and Dialogues for Chandan Kumar.

Continuing the love and journey of success, the show is all set to return to Amazon Prime Video with the third season. The show will air soon in 2024.
