Siddharth Anand's much talked about and anticipated directorial Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone hit the screens last week. After a modest opening, the film's business saw immense growth during its opening weekend. In fact, with positive reviews and good word of mouth, the business of Fighter has been growing constantly. However, now on its fifth consecutive day, or rather its first Monday, the business of Fighter It has failed to maintain its momentum at the box office.

Rightly dubbed as 'Khooni Monday', the true litmus test for any film, in this case, Fighter has resulted in a staggering 70% drop in business since its opening day. Compared to its first day collections of Rs. 24cr, Fighter has recorded approximately only Rs. 7 cr. in collections on the 5th. If that was not enough compared to their collections on their first Friday, which incidentally was Republic Day, the business of Fighter has fallen from Rs. 41.20 cr. to Rs. 7 cr, registering a massive drop of 82%. This staggering drop highlights the fact that despite the rumors surrounding the film and promotions, the collections of Fighter They haven't really taken off on Monday.

If we were to analyze the collections from the opening weekend of Fighter, 33% of the film's total collection came on Republic Day, while on the rest of the days the collections remained stagnant and hardly grew. However, on Monday, the massive circuits namely. Rajasthan and Gujarat did not fire and did not take off. Thanks to this astonishing drop, the prospects of Fighter which has raised Rs. 123.60 cr. To date it is unlikely to earn the much coveted Rs. 200 cr club. However, despite the writing on the wall, certain predictions claim that Fighter could creep beyond Rs. 200 cr. brand.

Some of the recent movies with a drop of more than 70% on Monday compared to the first Friday include Adipurush (78.61%), Roof tiles (74.17%), Kuttey (70%), Bachchhan Paandey (74.57%) and Shamshera (72.68%).
