New releases of the week, Madgaon Express and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, they managed to grow again on Sunday and that is a relief for everyone involved with them as it was also a minimum requirement. With an opening of Rs. 1.63 crores and Rs. 1.10 crore respectively, the dependence was purely based on the growth that takes place on Saturday and Sunday, and then the consolidation that occurs on Monday due to the partial Holi holiday. While neither movie is going crazy right now, at least there's daily growth over the weekend.

Kunal Kemmu directed Madgaon Express has further risen to Rs. 2.81 crore on Sunday and that too without BOGO offer. This means that the number of people buying tickets is much higher this time and almost double what it was on Friday. However, if this had been a triple, it would have been an even better positioning for the film. Of course, doing something like that is really difficult, but his growth promises to be greater on Monday than on Friday, something the film also requires. Currently, the film costs Rs. 7.16 crore and stability today will help.

That's exactly what Swatantrya Veer Savarkar I would also be waiting with Rs. 6.10 crores in his kitty so far. The film released at Rs. 1.10 crore and now Sunday's figures are Rs. 2.75 crore, more than double that of Friday. Had this been tripled, meaning the collections would have crossed Rs. 3 crores, then that would have resulted in even better positioning. Even so, today there is a partial holiday, which means that, at a minimum, collections would aim to be better than those of Friday. Post that everything would come down to maintaining starting tomorrow.

Note: All collections according to production and distribution sources.
